United States: The deportation of migrants to Africa "violates international law on several levels"

Human Rights Watch is calling on African countries to refuse to accept undocumented migrants deported from the United States. Agreements have been reached with several countries on the continent. Ghana, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Eswatini have received people returned by Washington in recent weeks. The human rights organization denounces these agreements as opaque and illegal. Laetitia Bader, deputy director at Human Rights Watch, answers questions from Alexandra Brangeon.
