A pirogue that departed from Gambia ran aground at Gandiole with 50 migrants on board

As part of the national plan to combat irregular migration, the Senegalese Defense and Security Forces apprehended fifty individuals attempting irregular migration in the commune of Gandiole, in the Saint-Louis region. Their pirogue, which had departed from The Gambia, drifted for several days before washing ashore on the Senegalese coast.
